NEW YORK.- A cutting edge Manhattan art company, nAscent Art New York, announced the planned launch of nAscent Art Philadelphia in early 2008, according to nAscent CEO Jennifer Baron.

“We’re aggressively growing our catalogue of artists on the east coast,” said the 22- year-old CEO, “and bringing nAscent Art to Philadelphia allows us to discover more talent and increase the exposure of our current group of artists.” nAscent currently represents over 25 New York based artists from around the world.

“nAscent is committed to the advancement and promotion of emerging artists and their art, ” said Philadelphia director Alison Greber, who will be spearheading Philadelphia operations. “nAscent strives to bridge the gap between emerging local artists and art buyers, and I’m excited to bring nAscent’s unique vision to Philly.”

According to their website, nAscent Art New York provides artists with representation and provides buyers with an opportunity to procure new and exciting work from the world’s best emerging artists.

In just three events produced by nAscent Art New York, they have sold several dozen pieces.

“The support of New Yorkers has been promising, but we have only scratched the surface,” said James Wallace, nAscent’s President. “The expansion into Philly is the prelude to a blockbuster 2008 that will benefit buyers, artists, and our charity partners.”

nAscent commits 20% of its net profits from events to local and international charities. nAscent has signed agreements with Action Against Hunger, a global organization fighting hunger and malnutrition in over 40 countries that saves 4 million lives a year, and Fountain Gallery, a New York non-profit that supports artists living and working with mental illness.
