VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y.- Painter, draughtsman, printmaker, frame designer, framemaker, potter, goldsmith, historian, collector, and teacher Robert M. Kulicke, 83, died due to pneumonia.
Born in Philadelphia in 1924, Kulicke attended the Tyler School of Art (Temple University) and the Philadelphia Museum School. In 1949, he studied in Paris with Fernand Léger. Kulicke is renowned for his contributions to the field of historic and contemporary frame making, and had exhibited at Davis & Langdale Company since 1974.
He was an innovative frame designer. He was known for widely used streamlined frames and sectional frames that could be assembled by consumers.
