Jersey City Museum Presents Season of Love Family Project Day

JERSEY CITI, NJ.-Celebrate Valentine’s Day and the season of love with Jersey City Museum during the Season of Love Family Project Day, happening at the museum on Sunday, February 9th at 1pm. The Valentine’s Day-inspired afternoon’s theme will be learning about three centuries of sentimentality and how the portrayal of love has varied over the ages. Families will do this by creating customized tokens of affection that cover the 19th to the 21st centuries. Three craft stations will provide families with a choice of different projects to work on. Families will then meet poet and writer, Rosette Capotorto and write their own poems in the atrium. At 3pm, there will be an opportunity to perform written works in the museum’s theater. The event is free, open to the public and promises to be a fun and creative day of love for the entire family!

Published writer, Rosette Capotorto is the creator of the writing workshop series, Poetry Live! and has had her writing featured in the book, The Milk of Almonds: Italian American Women Writers on Food and Culture.
