DORAL, FL.-The Museum of the Americas presents Women in the Arts 2008. The exhibition, once again, celebrates the International Women Month. "Women in the Arts 2008" includes 50 women artists from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Cuba, Chile, Germany, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, United States, and Venezuela.

It also includes a personal show titled "Colombia, mi Tierra" (Colombia my land), by "Sandy" (Sandra Gaitan Ramirez) from Colombia. This is an "open" exhibition to show the contemporary works by women artists all over the world. A Juror will select the award: a full color page on the next book by the European Communities Artists Library from Barcelona, Spain, which will be presented at "Artexpo Las Vegas" next September.

The event will be open with a cocktail open to the public on Friday, March 14 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the museum space at 2500 NW 79th Avenue, Suites 104 and 108 in the City of Doral (Miami-Dade County), Florida. Admission and parking is always free. Museum regular hours are from Tuesday through Friday, 11-5 and Saturday, 11-4.
