Temporary installation by Cornelia Genschow at the Kunstmuseum in Bonn
|
BONN.- Within the framework of the cultural program of the 9th UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) 2008 in Bonn and in collaboration with the botanical gardens of Bonn University The Kunstmuseum Bonn presents an installation by Cornelia Genschow through June 8.
It is the intention of the artist Cornelia Genschow (born 1974 in Dresden), with her temporary installation Streuner, to call attention to the locally available biological diversity, using the grass plant as an example. The installation in the Kunstmuseum thus contributes to the cultural program of the 2008 UN World Conference in Bonn. The botanical gardens in Bonn support this project for which approx. 100 graffiti templates, composed of different grass species, have been cultivated in experimental allotments. In this temporary installation, the graffiti then appear against a neutral background, coming into the world of art on their own.
