Free Museum Admission for Bank of America Cardholders

TACOMA, WA.- Tacoma Art Museum is one of seventy museums across the country participating in Bank of America’s Museums on Us™ program, which offers free admission to Bank of America credit, check and ATM cardholders during the first Saturday and Sunday of every month. The offer is valid May 2008 through May 2009.

Tacoma Art Museum is one of only three museums in Washington participating in the program. The Museum of History and Industry and Wing Luke Museum in Seattle are also taking part. The program, which began 11 years ago in the Northeast is expanding in both geography and scope this year, in response to favorable customer demand and usage. Residents and visitors in the Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Detroit, Houston, Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Phoenix areas will have the chance to participate for the first time.

“Bank of America is committed to improving access to the arts and Museums on Us™ is a key component of that outreach,” said Rena M. DeSisto, Arts and Culture Executive, Bank of America. ”We are thrilled to expand this program so more individuals can experience art and culture at some of the finest museums in the country. Programs like this are important to how Bank of America creates new opportunities for our customers and communities.”

Stephanie Stebich, director of Tacoma Art Museum, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “Museums on Us™ gives individuals who might not otherwise visit cultural institutions the chance to connect and experience art,” she said. “We are excited to partner with Bank of America to offer our patrons this terrific opportunity – now more visitors will have the chance to visit Tacoma Art Museum and their favorite museums over the next year.”

In addition to Tacoma Art Museum, the Museums on Us™ program is valid at more than seventy museums in twenty-eight regions across the country. (See full list below.)
