MoMA will Stay Open Late on Thursdays in July and August, with Live Music in the Sculpture Garden |

NEW YORK.- The Museum of Modern Art will remain open until 8:45 p.m. every Thursday in July and August, giving visitors an extended opportunity to see MoMA's renowned collection and to visit special exhibitions such as Dalí: Painting and Film (opening June 29), Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling (opening July 20), and Kirchner and the Berlin Street (opening August 3).
An eclectic mix of live music will be presented in two sets (at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.) in The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, weather permitting. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Dalí: Painting and Film, this summer's program offers musical landscapes inspired by the global adventures of this most notorious of surrealists, from early jazz and French swing to Spanish rhythms and classical compositions. These performances are organized in collaboration with Olivier Conan of Barbès performance space in Brooklyn.
The Gelato Bar will sell light fare, including ice cream and sorbet from Il Laboratorio del Gelato. A cash bar will be available in the Sculpture Garden and Cafe 2 will be open for light refreshments. In the event of rain, the music and refreshments will be moved indoors.
This program is supported in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. Major annual support is provided by The Ethel P. Shein Fund for Music at MoMA, which is generously funded by Agnes Gund and by Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder.

Sets will be performed at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.
Regular Museum admission applies:
$20 adults; $16 seniors, 65 years and over with I.D.; $12 full-time students with current I.D. Free for children 16 and under. Free for members. (Includes admittance to Museum galleries and film programs.) Tickets are valid from 10:30 a.m., with re-entry until closing.
