LEIPZIG.- Integrated in the project 'ICHBINICH-EGOUNIVERSUM', the exhibition Harmony of Contrasts, which is shown from 9th August 2008 to 19th October 2008 in Leipzig, presents several artworks of international, top-class artists. All of them put emphasis on one theme: ICHBINICH EGOUNIVERSUM.
The artistic interpretations of EGOUNIVERSUM in Harmony of Contrasts of Louise Günther, Andrea Hilgerm Rolf Kuhrt, Jean Miotte, Heinz-Josef Mess, Sandro Porcu, Jim Whiting and Günther Rothe are the start of a world tour, in which changing artists of all nations exhibit their works. The artistic examination of EGOUNIVERSUM is initiated and realized by the artist from Leipzig Günther Rothe.
The Phrase 'ICHBINICH - EGOUNIVERSUM' became the title of a visual portrayal, which will take place in 23 metropolises. Among others, the changing artists will exhibit in Rome, Paris, New York and London. The artists, who are represented in Harmony of Contrasts in Leipzig, are nominated for the entire tour.
The kick-off at the 'Potsdamer Platz Arkaden' in Berlin in July 2007 exceeded all expectations: over 20.000 visitors saw Harmony of Contrasts. For the vernissage, the skull had been brought to the location under special precautions.
With the Gohlis Castle an adequate site for the exceptional exhibition was found. The aim of Harmony of Contrasts is to inspire a dialogue between artwork and viewer, which will have a lasting emotional effect.
