Fine Folk Art Debut at the Plaza Hotel

NEW YORK, NY.- Fine Folk Art will make its debut at the Plaza Hotel for the first week of March 2009. The Artist, John Daso of the Gifted Artists Gallery, Ltd (G.A. Ltd) in Buckhead, Georgia is bringing some of his best Originals, Reproductions and Prints as the feature of the event. 'Daso In Manhattan 2009' is designed to showcase the Artist's collection depicting life during his early years as a child. Many of his collectors follow his work from San Francisco and Charleston, SC to Buckhead, Georgia and now for this exhibit in Manhattan, New York.

Overcoming many obstacles as a young artist where his craftsmanship as a young black could have hindered his career; not able to gain the support of his family or peers and without formal training, Mr. Daso continues to rise in stature with a humble and triumphant human spirit.

The weeklong exhibit will host a private auction for charity with a portion granted to the 9/11 Charities for Children on Tuesday evening, a black tie event with tickets available for $250.00 per person for Monday evening and a VIP reception, on Wednesday, too! Thursday through Friday evening is available free of charge to the general public for art viewing and purchasing.

John Daso will be introducing two other Artists at this event; Craig Henderson which will bring mixed media art, and Vonda Smith will bring her specialty, abstract Art. Both of these Artists are from Atlanta, Georgia and have a presence at the Gifted Artists Gallery in Buckhead.
