The Fine Arts Club of Arkansas hosts TABRIZ at the Arkansas Arts Center

LITTLE ROCK, AR.- The Fine Arts Club of Arkansas will host the TABRIZ on Thursday and Saturday, March 5 and 7, 2009, at the Arkansas Arts Center. Chaired by Terri Bonner and Jan Alman, the biennial two-night event raises funds for art acquisitions and educational programs for the Arkansas Arts Center. Through the years, TABRIZ has raised more than $5 million to build the Arts Center’s world renowned collection of unique works on paper and contemporary craft objects.

The Thursday night event will be a fun, snappy casual party featuring a sophisticated Silent Auction full of boutique items. Beginning at 6 p.m., party guests can watch artists from the Arkansas Arts Center Museum School at work and enjoy specialty cocktails and ales with classic American fare. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at www.arkarts.com.

The Saturday evening event will be a lavish black-tie Gala starting at 6 p.m. Attendees to this dazzling event can peruse a Silent Auction, sip specialty cocktails, enjoy an elegant dinner and bid on must-have items in a Live Auction. Tickets to Saturday evening are $400 per person and are only available to Arkansas Arts Center members. To become an Arkansas Arts Center member, call 501-372-4000 or visit www.arkarts.com.

Both evenings promise the opportunity to bid on marvelous parties, exquisite antiques, elegant jewelry, fascinating travel destinations and art from Arkansas artists, private collections and New York galleries.

The Arkansas Arts Center will be closed to the public March 1 -10, 2009, in preparation for TABRIZ.
