LITTLE ROCK, AR.- Mid-Southern Watercolorists will host its 39th Annual Exhibition at the Arkansas Arts Center Community Gallery at the Terry House, on view February 20 – March 29, 2009.

This juried exhibition, comprised of submissions from Mid-Southern Watercolorists members, showcases a “collection of work [that] displays the diversity, excitement and skill that are evident in today’s art world,” said Juror John Salminen. When making selections for the exhibition, Salminen said he looks “for strong design and evidence of technical skill.”

Mid-Southern Watercolorists was founded and incorporated in Little Rock, Arkansas by five artists in 1970. A non-profit organization with approximately 275 members in 17 states in 2007, MSW was formed to elevate the stature of watercolor and educate the public to the significance of watercolor as an important creative, permanent painting medium. MSW is dedicated to the highest aesthetic standards and furthers the interest of painters in watercolor by its programs and competitive exhibits.
