RENO, NV.- The
Nevada Museum of Art hosts the 2009 regional Scholastic Art Awards. The Scholastic Art Awards presents a wonderful opportunity for northern Nevada high school and junior high school students to showcase their artwork in a regional competition. Regional Gold Key winners and American Visions nominees will have the opportunity to submit their “live” artwork for a month-long exhibition at the Nevada Museum of Art. In addition to the exhibition, senior art portfolio submissions will be eligible for scholarships opportunities provided through the generous support of US Bank and Wild Women Artists. In 2009 the museum received over 1,000 entries.
