Call For Artists: The 13th Annual No Dead Artists Juried Exhibition



NEW ORLEANS, LA.-The Annual No Dead Artists is an open juried exhibition of Louisiana art today. The exhibition was created in 1995 to give a voice to underexposed artists. Jury winner’s work will be on exhibit at the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, 400a Julia Street, in the New Orleans Arts District and selected jury winners will appear in a feature article in the September 2nd issue of Gambit. In the article, art critic D. Eric Bookhardt will review the exhibition. This annual event is designed to give a real pulse on the creative scene happening in New Orleans and Louisiana today. NO DEAD ARTISTS is open to living artists working in the state of Louisiana. All mediums are accepted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, glass, metal work, photography, video, mixed media and installation art. In its 13th year, No Dead Artists is one of the most celebrated art exhibitions in Louisiana with hundreds of artists applying each year and thousands attending the annual event. Several artists’ careers have taken off after being selected for NO DEAD ARTISTS and have led to gallery representation, museum acquisitions, and national reviews.

NO DEAD ARTISTS DATES: APRIL, MAY, JUNE, JULY- Call for artists runs in Gambit, submissions accepted. JULY 17 - Submission deadline for all artists (postmarked. NO Drop offs). AUGUST 10 – Jury winners notified. AUGUST 10- 17 D. Eric Bookhardt reviews work and selects pieces to run in Gambit. SEPT 2 - Gambit issue with NO DEAD ARTISTS hits newsstands (circ. @50,000). SEPT 5 - THE 13TH ANNUAL NO DEAD ARTISTS OPENS TO THE PUBLIC 6-9PM. SEPT 2-26 - Exhibition on display at Jonathan Ferrara gallery.
