LONDON.- Isis, by British sculptor Simon Gudgeon, was unveiled in Hyde Park, commissioned to help raise funds for a new Look Out education centre for children and a new home for the Royal Parks Foundation. It is hoped that Isis in Hyde Park will raise £1million for the new Centre, with 1,000 plaques to be permanently inlaid around the sculpture’s base, each of which can be purchased for £1,000, with all funds going directly to the project. Isis reveals Gudgeon’s unique signature style, representing the movement and emotion of nature in smooth forms and simple lines.

Isis follows the recent success of Sculpture by the Lakes in Pallington, Dorset, a sculpture park opened by Simon Gudgeon in association with Halcyon Gallery in September 2008. Sculpture by the Lakes presents Gudgeon’s works in a beautiful rural setting, across 26 acres of Dorset countryside, bordered by the River Frome.

Simon has attained worldwide recognition in recent years, and exhibited internationally, with highly acclaimed shows in London, New York, San Diego, Paris and the Netherlands. His work features in many important private collections both in the UK and abroad, such as those of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of Bedford and the Duke of Northumberland.

President of Halcyon Gallery, Paul Green, comments: ‘Simon Gudgeon’s Isis represents the goddess of nature in his uniquely beautiful style. Halcyon Gallery is proud to support the Royal Parks Foundation’s appeal to help children explore the wonders of nature and wildlife in the heart of London.
