LONDON.- Masterpiece London has released details of just some of the confirmed participants for its inaugural Fair to be held between 24-29 June 2010. The names reflect the different disciplines that will be represented, all of which will be showcasing their own masterpieces at the prestigious location of the former Chelsea Barracks, Chelsea Bridge Road, SW1.
Among those confirmed to participate in 2010 are the eminent international names of A La Vieille Russie, MacConnal-Mason, Marchant, SJ Phillips, Peter Finer and the Tomasso Brothers. They will be joining the established names of the founders Mallett, Ronald Phillips, Apter-Fredericks and Asprey.
From fine and decorative arts to contemporary design, vintage cars and other premium collectors items, Masterpiece London brings together the best of the best from the four corners of the globe to create a magnificent showcase of the finest things in life, on a scale not seen in the capital since the Great Exhibition of 1851.
The brainchild of a select group of prestigious organizations including Mallett, Apter-Fredericks, Ronald Phillips and Asprey, Masterpiece London is expected to restore the capitals position as one of the worlds leading destinations for art, design and culture. Masterpiece London will offer an exceptional visitor experience, combining the traditional with the contemporary to stand as an international barometer for elegance, quality and sophistication.

Masterpiece London will cater for the unique requirements of the different sectors involved. World-renowned fair-builder Stabilo is a founding partner in the project and will construct a temporary, highly innovative, bespoke structure to house the event on the site of the former Chelsea Barracks. The event will be managed by Nicola Winwood, formerly Assistant Director of the Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair, lead by the Masterpiece London Board: Harry Apter (Apter-Fredericks), Simon Phillips (Ronald Phillips), Robert Procop (Asprey), Harry van der Hoorn (Stabilo) and Thomas Woodham Smith (Mallett).
Masterpiece London is a vetted fair, with an Allocations Committee established to assess all applications and issue formal invitations to exhibit to ensure that there is no compromise in the calibre of exhibitors.
