CHAPPAQUA, NY.- Renowned Chappaqua watercolor artist
Cindy Sacks has been asked back to exhibit her work in
Muscoot Farms beautiful 19TH century farmhouse every weekend in June, with an Opening Reception on June 5 from 12:00-3:00PM.
This show marks her third exhibition at Muscoot. If we had an artist in residence, it would probably be Cindy, said Sue Moga, Muscoot Farms Farm Manager. Her work is really lovely. She fits who we are.
Ms. Sacks agrees and adds that Muscoot Farm inspires her work. Muscoot conjures up harmony, calm, beauty, and tranquility for me. The venue truly informs my creativity. We live or visit Westchester for a reasonpeace and calmand Muscoot embodies the beauty of the county and the spirit that makes Westchester so special.
Home at last is how Ms. Sacks relates her feeling about her art being shown at the farm. Ms. Moga understands the intimate connection Ms. Sacks feels with Muscoot. Cindys pastoral themes are perfect for Muscoot. Her colors are soft and rich, and theres a gentleness and calmness to her work.
Muscoot Farm is a step back in time. Theres a peacefulness that is unique here. Even the animals are not uptight, laughs Ms. Moga. Theres a gentleness even in the farm animals.
Ms. Sacks loves to exhibit in Muscoots elegant Farmhouse. The House that serves as Ms. Sackss gallery was originally built in 1880 to be a summer residence on a gentlemans farm. The House has been lovingly restored with hundreds of artifacts from the original owners, the Hopkins Family. Its this gentile setting that so well displays Ms. Sackss work.
The sales of Ms. Sackss artwork will also benefit Muscoots historic site. She donates a portion of the proceeds from her sales to the preservation of the house and farm. We have a symbiotic relationship, says Ms. Sacks. My art is enhanced by the beauty of Muscoot.
Ms. Sackss work will be on exhibit in the Main House Gallery every Saturday and Sunday in June from 12:00 4:00PM, and Ms. Sacks will be in attendance during all Gallery hours. The show runs June 5 27, and entrance is free to the public. All artwork will be for sale. Muscoot Farm is located on Route 100 in Somers, New York.
