New Office Inaugurated at IFEMA, Madrid |

MADRID, SPAIN.- The president of the Community of Madrid Alberto Ruiz Gallardón and George L. Argyros, ambassador of the United States in Spain, inaugurated the new office of Foreign Trade in the USA at the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I (exhibition Park). The inauguration was also attended by the mayor of Madrid and also president of the IFEMA board, José María Alvarez del Manzano, and Fernando Fernández Tapias, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid and also of the board of IFEMA.
This office will serve to give permanent attention to all exhibitors and visitors to the fair grounds, as well as those that want to do business with American companies. This initiative is part of an agreement between the IFEMA and the American department to promote commerce between Spain and the U.S. The agreement was signed the past July 15, 2002. The agreement also establishes the promotion of all the fairs that take place at IFEMA in the 105 offices of the department.
