FORT WORTH, TX.- The Amon Carter Museum of American Art announced its Museum Store has undergone a major renovation. Now featuring a café with locally roasted Aduro Bean & Leaf coffee, an assortment of hot teas, a selection of bottled beverages and baked goods from Artisan Baking Co., it also offers an expanded children’s section, handmade jewelry, art-inspired ties and scarves, and home décor items.

“We’re very excited to offer a service that enhances the visitor experience,” says Kevin Aldridge, retail manager. “The space is not only remodeled, it’s re-imagined.”

After undergoing an extensive renovation, the store, designed with teak-wood accents and cork flooring, has installed a café area. Artisan Baking Co.’s owner Gwin Grogan Grimes’ shortbread and chocolate chip cookies, biscotti and chickpea crackers, among other foods sold in the café, have cultivated a regional following, and the Amon Carter is proud to showcase her tasty talents.

In addition, the store has expanded upon its interest in selling eco-friendly items. The children’s area highlights this mission, featuring art supplies crafted from natural ingredients by Clementine Art and building sets by MudPuppy.

Other new merchandise includes:

· Scarves designed from the photography of Robert Glenn Ketchum

· Ties inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and Eadweard Muybridge

· Artisan gift items such as wine corks designed by Spencer Peterman

In conjunction with its grand reopening, the store will offer discounts on its merchandise from September 9-11. Most merchandise will be 10 percent off, and Amon Carter publications will be 15 percent off; members will receive a 20 percent discount. (Food and drink are not included in the discount.)
