Culture Minister Appoints New Members



MADRID, SPAIN.- The Spanish Minister of Culture, Pilar del Castillo, Monday appointed four people to the board of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. The four persons are: José Luis Borau, movie director, Daniel Giralt-Miracle, an art critic, Mónica Ridruejo, former director of Radiotelevisión Española and Javier Ungría, business man and art collector.
The museum announced that the appointments were made during the last meeting the board held. With the new reorganization José Luis Yuste becomes the vice-president of the board, substituting Eugenio Trías.
The Kings of Spain hold the presidency of honor of the museum board. José Luis Borau is also the former president of the Film Academy and member of the San Fernando Fine Arts Academy. In his speech he talked about the relationship between art and film. Mónica Ridruejo is a buisiness woman and has experience in the inernational audiovisual area. Giralt-Miracle has been coordinator of the Year of Gaudí event and counselor to the Year of Dalí Commission.  Javier Ungría is president of the company Ungría, Patentes y Marcas.
