MADRID.- From 16 to February 20, 2011 Art Madrid, the International Contemporary Art Fair, returns to his annual meeting with collectors, professionals and lovers of contemporary art in general, in its traditional location in the Pabellón de Cristal at the Casa de Campo in Madrid. February 15th will be devoted to professional collectors and, from 16 to 20, the fair will open its doors to the public.

Art Madrid is scheduled for 61 galleries, chosen by a new independent selection committee, among the most prestigious names of the national and international scene, and will show the work made by major contemporary artists.

Art Madrid will host a total of 91 exhibition spaces. Besides the 61 art galleries, some of them with spaces in different programs, the Fair will hold the presence of two foundations, 9 art installations -into the Art Show program-, 10 editors of art magazines and an exhibition (Tardor Art - The Fall of Art).

It stands out the presence of new galleries, such as Joan Gauita from Mallorca or Saro León from the Canary Islands, also including Fernando Latorre, Joan Gaspar and Sicart, among othes. It should be noted the presence of 7 galleries from the Aragón Autonomous Community, that will have their own stand, sponsored by Castilla-La Mancha Art Galleries Asociation.

For the first time Art Madrid will present into the Art Show program, nine art installations placed in specific spaces of the Fair, all of them proposed by the participating galleries.

Art Madrid will host, for the third consecutive year, a space dedicated to emerging art with the Young Art program, that will include 13 spaces dedicated to young artists and galleries. Due to the great public success achieved in previous editions, the Young Art program has become one of the big bets of the fair.

Art Madrid presents this year a collective artistic exhibition around the vinyl record, organized by Tardor Art - The Fall of Art, from Catalonia. The show includes a selection of 35 pieces (paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, etc.), of artists from France, Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Colombia, Uruguay and Spain. Tardor Art - The Fall of Art, is an initiative of the four most important catalonian art galleries associations.

On the other hand, the Art Madrid Collection Single Works on paper continues its journey and again will raise their funds with works acquired in various galleries at the fair.

In the interest of promoting contemporary art collecting, Art Madrid has developed a program specifically for collectors, who, when shopping, will enjoy special conditions.

The organization estimates that the fair will receive around 45,000 visitors.
