Art Toronto 2003 To Be Held in November

TORONTO, CANADA.- Art  Toronto 2003 will be held from November 13 – 17 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  Canada’s fair for modern and contemporary art closed its third successful year with record sales and attendance. A relatively small and intimate show, Art Toronto enjoys its reputation as one of the best performing fairs in North America and is capturing the attention of the world’s most respected art dealers, curators and collectors.
With its strategic location, incredible economic stability and a sophisticated and wealthy demographic, Toronto is emerging as one of the world’s most desirable business destinations. Complemented by a vibrant cultural scene and a strong contemporary art community, Toronto is an ideal venue for the promotion and trade of modern and contemporary art.
Art Toronto 2003 will present an exclusive selection of approximately 80 galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia showcasing exceptional works by both renowned artists and young cutting-edge newcomers.
In addition to the general mix of established modern and contemporary galleries, the fair will present the Fresh Avant-Garde section highlighting today’s most exciting young contemporary art galleries and artists.
Once again the show promises to be a vital source for discovering rising stars in contemporary art as well as museum-caliber art works. Alongside the exhibitors’ presentation, Art Toronto invites visitors to take part in a series of educational forums and discussions. Noted guest speakers will explore current topics in contemporary art production and trade, public art and architecture as well as the role of cultural policies in supporting the development of visual arts.
The Toronto International Art Fair welcomes dealers and visitors from around the world to Canada’s most exciting cultural metropolis. We look forward to seeing you in Toronto this November when the city again dedicates itself to the spirit of visual arts.
