TEL AVIV.- Since 1999 the annual
Felicja Blumental International Music Festival has played an important role in making the musical scene interesting and alive. Although
Tel Aviv has always been well known for its classical music activities, it never before had a classical music festival that combines, in one intense and exciting week: The annual Guitar Week, a colorful selection of concerts, movies and theatre productions, Chamber music, orchestral concerts, recitals, vocal music, folk music and family programs. Featuring great musicians and ensembles from all over the world. Works by Bach, Percy Grainger, Villa Lobos, Schubert and Lior Navok are only part of this special April 2011 Festival program. Join us for a week that you are sure to remember for the whole year.

Gala Concert IL Regno D`Amore - Ensemble Clematis (Belgium) - Works by Monteverdi, Rossi, Farina and Giamberti.
Flamenco and Spanish Romance - A special production for the festival which includes the beauty of guitar sounds with the chamber orchestra. Baldi Olier, guitar; Yehuda Schreyer, guitar; Israel Chamber Orchestra. Ronen Borshevsky, conductor.
The Great Duke of Toscany - Ensemble Auser Musici (Italy) - Works by Porpora, Jommelli, Cherubini, Traetta, Gasparini and Mirena e Floro.
Hindemith Wood Wind Quintet (Germany) - Works by Eisler, Reicha, Hindemith, Grainger and Schönberg.
Piano duo Yaara Tal and Andreas Groethuysen (Germany) - Won many prestigious awards for its recordings for Sony Classic during the last 20 years.
Paul Galbraith (Brazil), 8 strings guitar; Zemphyrescu Guitar Trio (Romania)
Works by Haydn, Schumann, Hindemith and Bach for 8 strings guitar. Gypsy and classical music by Vivaldi, Boccherini, Bizet, Albeniz, Poplijanova, Paco de Lucia, Gipsy Kings and Piazzolla for guitar trio. A unique and festive program that gives an overview of works from all over the world.
Zither Recital - Gertrud Huber (Germany) - Unique performance of folk music and classical music played on a Zither. Works by Bach and Scarlatti as well as folk melodies.
Jazz, Blues and Latin music with The Lior Yekutieli Trio
Sing along with conductor Graham O'Reilly (Australia) - Mozart Requiem (two movements). Join us for a beautiful experience as a choir singer for one evening.
Vocal and Strings - Shimrit Carmi, soprano; Miriam Rodrigues Brullova (Slovakia), guitar; Ira Givol, cello. Works by Handel, Viardot, Gnatalli, Villa-Lobos, Granados, Vivaldi, Rodriguez and Ravel.
Shuffle Concert (New-York) - The audience decides about the program.
The Art of the Guitar - Works by Villa Lobos and Schubert. Played by guitarists: Sara Worss, Or Yaacov, Tal Botvinik, Itamar Lurie, Assaf Braun and Assaf Perecz. Singer Charlotte Kovac.
European William Byrd Vocal Ensemble (France) - Direction: Graham O'Reilly; Six singers. Homage to Australian pianist and composer Percy Grainger.
The Festival will also present a first collaboration with the theater world in 2 productions - a new musical version of Pinocchio for children and parents and the play Marriage by Nikolai Gogol.
