KUWAIT.- Museum of Modern Art in Kuwait presents an exhibition of Italian artist Enzo Manara Genesis: Informal Universe. On view from 12th of April through 22th of April, 2011. Continuing the tradition of Italian art of 20th century, inspired by the scientific researches in astrophysics and anthropology Enzo Manara proposes his artistic vision and methodology to discover the point of Universe’s origin.

Structured reflection about the colors and the intention to create a correct background for each artwork merges in color-field painting and hard-edge art. He chooses black as the color obtained by overlapping, as color of cosmic depth and absence of the light, red as energy of the pulsar stars and metallic parts signifies solar presence which was important to the origin for the life and survival, but also remind to the ancient practices with the gold in alchemy.

The minimalism of perfect architectural forms bordered with suprematism, pure vivid colors and curves make an intensive mix that expands in the universe composed of multiple worlds.

Expressive flashes captured in the complex of interconnections between symbols of forms and colors as symbols of themselves stimulates strong emotion and became the instrument of the revelation of the unusual experiences that artist has achieved.

The deepest concept performed behind geometric or informal shapes of different materials gives an access to the dimension of abstract art, evolved in the suggestive and evocative three dimensional artworks with gradually growing expressions where artist depicts the rhythm and the pulse of the cosmic space.

Such spiritual emancipation and conceptual elitism’s aim to encourage the viewer to complicit artist’s reflection that has a philosophical meaning especially in the final part of his project with pieces The birth of Man and Adam & Eve. Each piece is a study, towards an abstract reflection about the Cosmo creation, the primary substances aggregation and the origin of “sensu vitae” with almost meditative quality.

The ranges of the media used for the exhibition varies from watercolor to plaster sculptures. Some of the artworks are assembled with different materials and contain hundred pieces. Rebuilding the chronology of the beginning of everything artist appeals to the collective memory through his individual experience, choose to identify his art objects not only with single content but with the whole exhibition space in the terms of one installation.

Enzo Manara lives between Italy and Middle East has made a career as a project designer for the most famous brands in Italian ceramic industry. Graduated in the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 1975 artist has a long distance from his first exhibition in Modena in 1978. Through his recent activities in Kuwait the artist confirmed his return in the Art and the present exhibition showcases his researches in the language of contemporary art.
