WASHINGTON, DC.- The Association of International Photography Art Dealers has announced that AXA Art Insurance Corporation, the world’s leading art insurance specialist, has renewed its partnership with the association and will continue to be the premier corporate partner of AIPAD through 2014.

AIPAD has also announced the addition of three new members:
*David Zwirner, New York, NY, a contemporary art gallery active in both the primary and secondary markets, known for fostering the careers of some of the most influential artists working today;

*Sasha Wolf Gallery, New York, NY, specializing in cotemporary photography, specifically documentary and post-documentary based work; and

*798 Photo Gallery, Beijing, China, the first art gallery devoted fine art photography in China, which opened in 2003.

The AIPAD Photography Show New York, one of the world’s most important annual photography events, will be held March 29 – April 1, 2012, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The 32nd edition of the Show will open with a Gala Preview on March 28 to benefit InMotion, a nonprofit organization providing legal services for low-income women. More than 70 of the world’s leading fine art photography galleries will present a wide range of museum-quality work including contemporary, modern and 19th century photographs, as well as photo-based art, video, and new media. The AIPAD Photography Show New York is the longest running and foremost exhibition of fine art photography.

“We are delighted to welcome such important and established galleries to AIPAD and to continue working with AXA Art, known for top-notch industry leadership in their field,” noted Stephen Bulger, President, AIPAD and President, Stephen Bulger Gallery, Toronto. “I believe AXA’s goals and global relationships complement those of AIPAD galleries and photography collectors around the world and look forward to furthering our successful partnership.”

"AXA Art is pleased with our ongoing partnership with AIPAD, an organization which represents the most important photography dealers,” said Christiane Fischer, President and CEO of AXA Art’s North American operations. “As we continue our focus on the care and preservation of photography collections, this partnership presents significant opportunities to offer advice and information to photography collectors around the world.”
