LONDON.- Proud Chelsea presents Springsteen: The Turning Point 1977 - 1979, an exclusive collection of dynamic portraits of rock icon, Bruce Springsteen, taken by celebrated photographer Lynn Goldsmith.

Legendary artist, and currently embarking on his latest world tour, Bruce Springsteen is emblematic of timeless rock and roll. These rare, personal photographs - taken between 1977 and 1979 - provide an intimate glance at The Boss’ breakthrough years, before he reached his peak star status.

Over the last four decades, Lynn Goldsmith’s photographic contributions make her a rock legend in her own right. She has photographed Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Michael Jackson among other musical idols; the candid personal relationships Lynn developed with many of these artists, combined with her own unique creativity, have yielded her work iconic. Through her relentless energy, dedication, and technical skill, Goldsmith was able to capture rock icon Bruce Springsteen at the true turning point of his career, in a way no other photographer could.

Proud Chelsea presents this unique opportunity to step back in time and into the world of one of music’s true superstars. Coinciding with his much anticipated performance at Hyde Park’s Hard Rock Calling on 14th July, this exclusive exhibition showcases a rare and unseen collection of personal portraits and stage shots from Springsteen’s glory days.

Born in 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Lynn Goldsmith began her career at Electra Records, making the first promotional musical films for artists such as The Doors, Judy Collins, etc. She also made radio spots for which she was awarded more than one Clio. In 1971, she joined up with Joshua White, formerly of the famed Joshua Light Show, and created Joshua Television (which led to her becoming the director of the first rock and roll concert show on network American TV called ABC's In-Concert). She left in 1973 to co-manage one of the biggest groups in rock history at the time: Grand Funk Railroad. For them, she made the first TV commercials to sell a rock band as well as the first film to be distributed as a short in movie theatres: "We're an American Band." Among her other "firsts" for the group was the 3-D album cover "Shinin On." In 1976, she decided to focus on photography and is now considered one of the world’s most iconic rock and roll photographers.

Her images have appeared on more than one hundred album covers, as well as gracing the magazine covers of Rolling Stone, National Geographic, Newsweek, and Life, among numerous others. Lynn, like Bruce Springsteen, believes that each of us has unlimited potential. Bruce's music is the celebration of man helping his fellow man. Lynn's work in her management capacity, her visuals, as well as her own music, has always been about breaking through the fears and limiting thoughts that keep us from making our dreams come true. Often we have to come to "A Turning Point" for this realization to take hold.

In her quest to show others that anything is possible, Lynn has also recorded under the name Will Powers and is best known in the UK for her 1983 hit single Kissing with Confidence. Lynn plans to return to the UK in 2013 again as Will Powers with her Cherry Red Records digipak release of Dancing For Mental Health.
