MIAMI, FL.- PULSE Contemporary Art Fair presents PULSE Miami 2012, a leading art fair dedicated to international contemporary art, from December 6-9, 2012, at the The Ice Palace Studios in Miami. Currently in its eighth edition, PULSE Miami will open on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, with a special preview evening and silent auction, hosted by artnet Auctions, benefiting The Lotus House Womens Shelter in Miami. This years fair will be home to eighty six national and international galleries, presenting exhibitions that span across all media, from works on paper, paintings, and sculptures, to performances, installations, and video art.
The gallery submissions for PULSE Miami 2012 represent the highest caliber of applicants weve received in the history of the fair. Eighty percent of our exhibitors are returning to us from previous years, and we are pleased to have a hand in their individual successes, comments Cornell DeWitt, Director. As one of the longstanding art fairs in Miami and New York to host local and international exhibitors, PULSE is oftentimes a barometer of the global art market. This year, weve noticed a particularly growing presence of European galleries that are relying on a strong US market to sustain sales.
