BRUSSELS.- After the success of the first edition in Paris, fotofever, a contemporary photography fair, expands and moves into Brussels from the 4th to the 7th of October 2012 at the site, “Tour & Taxis.”

The goal : conquer Europe ! Infused with talent and exciting new activities, fotofever explores imagery of today in all of its forms, ranging from well-known artists to emerging talents. Thanks to 60 galleries and editors carefully selected from Europe and North America, fotofever presents a striking assortment of artists and their works in a friendly, welcoming environment. And as photography is explored from every angle, fotofever equally upholds video and digital art in a choice place.

Seasoned as well as first-time collectors, galleries, and institutions are invited to come share their passion for photography.

One keyword: Discovery. fotofever now undertakes the challenge of developing new vocations for collectors! For the past several years, Cécile Schall, the founder of fotofever, has specialised in organising contemporary art fairs working alongside Will Ramsay, founder of AAF and co-founder of Art Hong Kong and Pulse. Her taste for adventure, entrepreneurial spirit and passion for photography was instilled by her grandfather, Roger Schall, celebrated photographer of the 1930s, who invented fashion photography in the streets for Vogue.

According to her, “fotofever is the fruit of an osmosis between a curious public, the involvement of passionate galerists, and great trust accorded by renowned institutions and partners. fotofever is a place propitious to exchanging information and discovery, which has already sparked the urge to collect in many visitors !”

Cécile Schall’s ambition is to make fotofever an important event in the domain of photography by creating an edition in every region of the globe (Europe, Americas, Asia and Africa.)

For its first edition in the heart of Europe, fotofever, a contemporary photography fair, brings together leading galleries, editors, institutions, and collectors to thrill an eagerly awaiting public. In the 5000m2 space of “Tour & Taxis” and through a meticulous selection to highlight its 60 galleries, fotofever presents an unseen private collection, a solo-show of the winner of the fotoprize rewarding the work of a young European talent, fototalks, a video space, a VIP programme, etc…
