International Fine Art & Antique Dealers Show to celebrate 25th anniversary
"We are enormously grateful to the City of New York for embracing The International Show over these last 25 years," comments Anna Haughton, the show's founder and director with her husband Brian, "it has been such a privilege to work here and have the support of the cultural community in this great city. Every single person who works on the show and all of our wonderful exhibitors are every bit responsible for its continued success -- and we celebrate them all during this exciting milestone year."

NEW YORK, NY.- 25 years after Brian and Anna Haughton came to New York with the groundbreaking International Antique Dealers Show, their flagship show continues to set the standard in America. With the inception of the "International Show" the Haughtons introduced the European concept of "vetting" in America and also helped to establish New York as part of a larger international fair circuit. The show today is an important part of the cultural, social and philanthropic landscape of New York and remains one of the world's most prestigious and iconic art and antique events. Sixty-seven of the world’s top dealers converge at the Park Avenue Armory for the dynamic event that collectors, museum curators, interior designers and art lovers anticipate all year long. Extraordinary attention to detail, exceptional specialist dealers, breathtaking variety and exacting standards have established the International Show as the top American showcase of its kind and an essential destination for museum-quality pieces. With a balanced mix of American and European dealers, the fair was rapidly nicknamed “The International” and immediately set a new standard by introducing rigorous vetting for quality and authenticity of all items for sale. The vetting committees are made up of museum curators and other distinguished specialists in their respective fields.

Since 1989, The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center has been beneficiary of the Preview Party at the fair which takes place on the Opening Night. The Preview Party itself has become one of New York’s most important fall events, attracting over 1,200 high profile guests on opening night from the fashion, art, philanthropic, and design world. 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit The Society’s patient care, research and education programs at MSKCC. Over the past 25 years, The Preview Party has raised approximately $25 million and offers patrons a first peek at the dazzling collection of fine art and antiques and the opportunity to support the hospital. 100% of the proceeds from the Preview Party benefit the Hospital. Founded in 1946, The Society of MSKCC is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of patients and their families, while also supporting cancer research and providing public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
