DALLAS, TX.- An Extremely Fine Vacheron Constantin 'Skeletonized' Pink Gold Wristwatch sold for $75,000 to lead Heritage Auctions $3.7+ million Timepieces Signature Auction Nov. 21 in New York. The Nov. 21 auction saw a single-owner collection of fine Rolex wristwatches sell for a combined $1.4+ million during a 100 percent sell-through special session, led by an exquisite, 18 karat Gold Oyster Cosmograph, circa 1982, at $48,432.

"This auction was overflowing with fantastic items for collectors and investors and we saw strong prices across the board," said James Wolf, Consignment Director for Watches and Timepieces at Heritage Auctions. "It was a success for both consigner and bidders: What more could you ask for?

The auction took place at Heritage's recently expanded New York location, 445 Park Avenue (at 57th Street), to a crowded gallery and fully-staffed phone bank. Exceptional examples by Audemars Piguet took nine of the first 10 top lots, as an Audemars Piguet Pink Gold Royal Oak Offshore Quantieme Perpetuel Automatic wristwatch more than doubled its pre-auction estimate to end at $62,500 following action by nine bidders. An Audemars Piguet Rare & Very Fine Rose Gold Rubens Barrichello Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph No. 57/500 reached $60,937 and an Audemars Piguet Rare Limited Edition Rose Gold Juan Pablo Montoya Royal Oak Offshore No. 314/500 hit $56,250.

Additional highlights include an Audemars Piguet Gold Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph with a massive, three body, polished and brushed case, which ended at $43,750, an Audemars Piguet 18 karat White Gold Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, which sold for $43,750, and a rare Audemars Piguet Pink Gold Team Alinghi Limited Edition Royal Oak Offshore No. 264/600, which changed hands for $40,625. A "Jules Audemars Quantieme Perpetual Metropolis" Very Fine Platinum World Time wristwatch more than doubled its estimate to bring $27,500.

Although Audemars Piguet took most top lot honors, it was Heritage's special presentation of "Timepieces from a Distinguished Gentleman," an important collection of 360 first quality wristwatches - including 200 Rolex rarities - that stole the show. A Ref. 18946 Platinum & Diamond Masterpiece with Meteorite Dial, circa 2000, ended at $37,500, a rare Oyster Perpetual Submariner made for The British Royal Navy, circa 1974, took $35,000, and a rare Ref. 6265 Steel Cosmograph Daytona, circa 1970, sold above estimate for $31,250.

Highlights include, but are not limited to:

• A Cartier Limited Edition Rose Gold Roadster with Wood Dial, Wood & Gold Bracelet No. 028/250. Realized: $32,500.

• A rare Minute Repeating Tandem Wind Pocket Watch fashioned by Tiffany & Co. Realized: $26,250.

• A Patek Philippe & Co. Very Fine Ref. 2510 Gent's Gold Wristwatch, circa 1953. Realized: $21,250.

• A Patek Philippe & Co. Ref. 5035J Very Fine Yellow Gold Annual Calendar Wristwatch. Realized: $20,000+.
