NEW YORK, NY.- Zaha Hadid is participating in the Fabergé Big Egg hunt with her “Liquid Skyline” egg, which is on display at the Fabergé New York Boutique on Madison Avenue from April 1st to April 17th 2014 as a part of the city-wide public art display.

Zaha Hadid is a British architect who received the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Award in 2004, and is known for her unique and futuristic designs which have garnered international acclaim.

“Liquid Skyline investigates the relation between natural form and urban fabric, resulting in a fluid and unexpected skyline.” Explains Zaha Hadid.

Starting April 1st, participants in the Hunt will be able to download a smartphone application (TheBiggEggHunt App) which will guide them throughout the Hunt and enter participants in a sweepstakes to win one of three extraordinary jeweled prizes created by Fabergé. The eggs’ locations will be undisclosed until 10 hunters use the smartphone app to check-in at an egg, thereby ‘cracking it.’ Once an egg is ‘cracked,’ its location will become public, appearing on an interactive digital map. The more eggs the hunters check in at, the better their odds of winning a prize.

The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, a public art display featuring an interactive contest designed to raise awareness and funds for charity, will launch in New York City on April 1st, 2014. The initiative will see over 260 large egg sculptures, each designed by globally renowned artists, designers, architects, photographers and brands including Jeff Koons, Tracey Emin, RETNA, Julian Schnabel, Leo Villareal, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Zaha Hadid, Enoc Perez, Curtis Kulig, Nathan Sawaya, and Peter Beard, among others, placed throughout the five boroughs from April 1st to 17th, 2014. The Hunt will benefit conservation organization, Elephant Family and Studio in a School, a program that brings visual arts to New York City’s public schools.
