Hollywood Legends Sale at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills raises over $2.5 million
Highlights included the much anticipated 1986 DH Pontiac Firebird 2-Door Hatchback KITT Car owned by David Hasselhoff selling for $152,600.



BEVERLY HILLS, CA.- Julien’s Auctions, the auction house to the stars, announced over-estimate bidding all day long during the two-day Hollywood Legends auction event held Friday, April 11th and today, April 12th at the Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills gallery. An award winning cast of iconic stars made this spring’s Hollywood Legends auction event full of extraordinary bidding from around the globe, bringing in bids above estimates on many of the items. When the final gavel was put down, the auction raised over $2.5 million.

Highlights included the much anticipated 1986 DH Pontiac Firebird 2-Door Hatchback KITT Car owned by David Hasselhoff selling for $152,600. Never one to disappoint, a 1952 Marilyn Monroe Photoplay Award sold for $100,000 while the pair of rhinestone earrings she wore to the premiere of The Rose Tattoo in 1955 sold for $185,000. Marilyn Monroe’s Ceil Chapman cocktail dress sold for $37,500.

Marilyn Monroe Photoplay AwardAmong the other highlights of the two days included a John Rhys-Davies screen used Gimli double headed axe sold for $149,000, Billie Burke’s MGM Studios Wizard of Oz shoes which sold for $25,000, a Wizard of Oz Test Dress which sold for $16,640, Humphrey Bogart’s lighter which sold for $19,200, Katharine Hepburn’s self-portrait which sold for $7,680, a Clark Gable The Misfits script which sold for $12,160, a Frank Sinatra original painting which sold for $15,000, Norma Shearer Marie Antoinette dressing gown which sold for $17,920, a Zorro signed rapier which sold for $7,040 and Jonathan Winters’ Native American Tobacco items which sold for $9,375.
