MIAMI, FL.- Miami’s Wynwood Arts District acts as the sixth canvas for the global art series “Streets of Color,” produced by Spanish winery Campo Viejo. Created by international urban artists Okuda and Remed, the colorful street art installations are expressive love letters of Spanish culture to cities that embrace wine, food, culture and art. The U.S. installation also celebrates the winery’s first limited edition bottle.

Miami’s installation is a large-scale mural on a warehouse in the renowned arts district that features graphic blocking and vivid color as a theme of color giving life. “We asked the extraordinary Okuda and Remed to create pieces that brought the stunning Rioja landscape to life,” says Campo Viejo winemaker Roberto Vicente. “The results have been inspirational, bringing all the color and vibrancy of the region and our wines to cities around the world.” London, Madrid, Rioja, Barcelona and Brussels preceded Miami in the series and events in Norway, Ireland and Canada will follow in the coming year.

Spanish artist Okuda specializes in street art, murals, sculptures and installations. His bright color blocking, with vibrant, gradient environmental and discordant shapes has been exhibited in Paris, London, New York, Japan, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Chile and Brazil. French artist Remed, whose walls, canvas and sculptures are inspired by cubism, graphic and pop art, has held hundreds of exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Serbia, Mexico, Morocco, Norway and South Africa.

To design Campo Viejo’s first limited edition offering from their Reserva Art Series, the artists worked closely with the vineyard’s winemakers, drawing inspiration from the winemaking process and the vineyards surrounding the winery in Rioja. The result is a modern kaleidoscope of color, which evokes the intense ruby red of the wine and the iconic orange of the winery’s original Reserva label.

The mural can be viewed at Northwest 23rd Street and Northwest Fifth Avenue in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami, and the limited edition Campo Viejo Reserva 2008 bottle will be available in Florida beginning August 2014 and across the U.S. this fall.
