CHICAGO, IL.- KM Fine Arts will open it’s new gallery location at 43 East Oak Street after nearly a decade in the John Hancock Center. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition opens July 31st, 2014, 7 – 10PM with Bernie Taupin | test a ment. The exhibition will feature new abstract expressionist works by the artist who, in addition to his continued collaboration in music, focuses his passion in this creative path. The gallery will present new works by Eric Fischl on September 19th, 2014 during Art Expo week. The 2015 schedule will open in the spring with Victor Matthews followed by Dana Louise Kirkpatrick in the summer. The new location will offer significant blue chip secondary market works in tandem with the introduction of many new LA artists to Chicago for the first time.

Since opening its doors at the John Hancock Center Chicago in 2006, KM Fine Arts has established itself as a top firm in early Modernism, Post War, and Contemporary markets. The museum quality setting has offered critically acclaimed solo exhibitions including Fernando Botero, John Chamberlain, Hans Hoffman, Robert Indiana, and Wolf Kahn among others. Under Ana Hollinger, Managing Partner and Director, KM Fine Arts was recently listed among the TOP 500 GALLERIES in the world by Blouin Media.

In January 2013, KM Fine Arts celebrated the inaugural opening of the Los Angeles showroom, launching their new contemporary art program that focuses on emerging museum quality artists, fostering personal growth and nurturing a continuous stream of creative development. The gallery quickly announced the representation of Hal Buckner, Ramsey Dau, Carole Feuerman, Dana Louise Kirkpatrick, Victor Matthews, Brendan Murphy, Bernie Taupin, Esthella Warren, and Kim Gottlieb- Walker in addition to showing works by Eric Fischl, Cole Sternberg, and Federico Uribe.

The boutique showroom in West Hollywood opened with solos exhibitions by Desire Obtain Cherish reviewed by Ben Genocchio of Art+Auction Magazine, New York and closed 2013 with a highly successful solo exhibition by Dana Louise Kirkpatrick “Unwashed and Somethat Slightly Dazed” in tandem with the sellout of her works at Art Miami Basel. Kirkpatrick’s work is featured in the private collection of many high-profile collectors such as Lyndley and Samuel Schwab, Timothy Hutton, Flea, Anthony Kiedis, Stephen Nemeth, and the personal collection Jorge Perez among others.

KM Fine Art Los Angeles opened the summer with the highly anticipated exhibition of Eric Fischl with a VIP reception on the eve prior to his sellout lecture with actor Steve Martin at the Broad Theater. Named one of the top Summer Shows by Artsy, the exhibition runs through the end of August.

Following in September KM will open Victor Matthews | bright…brighter…brightness. Matthews who participated in the 2014 Venice Biennale can be found in the collections of Russell Simmons, Salman Rushdie, and Francesco Clemente among others. KM will close the year with Dana Louise Kirkpatrick | ZUGZWANG in November. In December KM will again be a part of the exhibitor roster of Art Miami Basel.
