DUBAI.- Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, the historic hotel which first opened its doors in 1895, has successfully completed a refurbishment of the lobby, Kubbeli Saloon tea lounge and library. The work was carried out by Anouska Hempel, a respected worldwide interior decorator.
Set in the heart of the city, the hotel regularly turns heads with its Bell Epoque style and has become an indispensable venue of Istanbul social life. A number of refurbishments have been carried out over recent years but the hotel stays true to its historical roots. Following the recent enhancements, the lobby that welcomes guests to Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah is now much more functional, with more light, wider spaces and improved seating areas so guests can leave the bustling city behind.
Anouska Hempel, the Queen of Decoration, and famous interior decorator completed the impressive changes and last year, re-vamped the Patisserie de Pera which has become one of the most favorable flavour stops in town.
The Kubbeli Saloon, the venue for traditional afternoon tea and the library have both been renovated in keeping with the dynamism and energy of the city. The dining table concept in the library meets each and every need of the guests, who may be looking for a multifunctional venue to work. Theres room for laptops, a recreational area with three libraries, space to rest and enjoy refreshments.
The colour schemes feature wine red, black, glittering reflections and gold leaves, reminiscent the early 20th century. Interpreted by Anouska Hempel who was inspired by the magnificent Bell Epoque era, Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah brings together the soul of the previous century and the todays modernity.
