HONG KONG.- Bonhams has announced the appointment of Alexi Fung as Managing Director for Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Bonhams, Alexi worked for a number of leading international auction houses in both Hong Kong and Japan. A specialist in art dealing, Alexi has a real passion for Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art and Chinese Works of Art, a huge growth area for Bonhams across Asia.
Alexi studied at The University of Bedfordshire (United Kingdom) and has a degree in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Communication and Media. He is also studying for an Executive MBA at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He speaks several languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese.

Alexi assumes his new role with immediate effect and will operate from Bonhams brand new saleroom in Hong Kong on the 20th floor of One Pacific Place, a setting that provides the most technically advanced permanent auction saleroom in the region and the first dedicated saleroom created by any auction house in Hong Kong.
