DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions has announced Diane D'Amato, a recognized expert in fine and collectible luxury handbags, will lead its $14 million Luxury Accessories category as its Director. Diane will assist consignors and collectors with appraisals as well as supervise the category's double digit revenue growth from Heritage's New York office, 445 Park Ave. (at 57th Street).

"Diane brings more than a decade of experience working directly with brands such as Hermès of Paris and Louis Vuitton and will provide our clients a level of service they cannot receive anywhere else," said Greg Rohan, President of Heritage Auctions. "Her proven ability to grow luxury businesses makes her an ideal fit in this role."

Diane perfected the luxury experience for shoppers at both Louis Vuitton and Hermès in addition to developing long-term business strategies for these leading handbag brands. Through exclusive marketing partnerships and careful staff training, she forged loyal client relationships while overseeing $12 million in annual sales; buying trips to Paris were influential in setting market trends in the United States.

Her strong track record in business growth saw rates exceed double-digits based on developing and implementing brand strategy to gain market share in strategic demographics. She also developed important client touchpoints ranging from live events, to charity affairs, and marketing campaigns.

"I look forward to contributing to Heritage's stellar team of professionals," D'Amato said. "This role provides incredible opportunities to help clients realize the true potential of their precious objects."

To be based in New York, Diane joins a team that includes Max Brownawell, consignment director, New York; and Barbara Conn, consignment director, Chicago.

Diane may be reached at 212-409-1901 or DianeD@ha.com.
