AUBURN, IN.- Auctions America will officially kick off its 2015 collector car season, March 27 29 with the return of its highly anticipated Fort Lauderdale Collector Car auction. Celebrating its 13th year, the upcoming sale is set to continue the companys strong track record in South Florida, lifting the gavel on approximately 500 quality vehicles. From a superb group of American classics and Detroit muscle to an exciting series of late model collectibles; the catalog caters to a broad range of tastes and budgets, from the entry-level collector to the veteran hobbyist.
In addition to providing a wonderful showcase of automotive history and design for collectors and enthusiasts alike, Auctions Americas Fort Lauderdale event will proudly lend its support to the local South Florida community with 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of a 1934 Ford Street Rod Roadster benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County (BGCBC). Stunning in pearl white with a black soft-top and gray custom interior; the classic hot rod is powered by a Chevrolet V-8 engine and features five-spoke Cragar-style wheels with Goodyear blackwall tires, along with a removable top and rumbleseat. Estimated to fetch between $45,000 - $50,000, it will be offered without reserve during the events Saturday, March 28 session. The BGCBC is a non-profit private agency dedicated to helping young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical period of growth. Each year, the BGCBC serves more than 12,500 at-risk youth, ages 6-18, in South Floridas Broward County.

Auctions Americas Fort Lauderdale sale will also lift the gavel on a selection of 45 automobiles from the Cayman Motor Museum Collection. The result of more than 35 years of dedicated acquisition by lifelong enthusiast, Andreas Ugland, the group encompasses an eclectic assortment of automobiles, along with a series of motorcycles, all offered without reserve.
Highlights include:
· a stunning 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Coupe; a part of the collection for 25 years and still equipped with its original Columbo V-12 engine (Est: $500,000 - $550,000);
· a 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo; an example that rarely comes to market and is enjoying appreciating value and popularity; (Est: $60,000 - $75,000); and,
· a Euro-spec, five-speed transmission 1977 Maserati Khamsin, presented in its original colors. The Fort Lauderdale sale represents the first time in over a decade an ultimate Khamsin-spec Maserati has been offered at a US auction (Est: $130,000 - $160,000).
The Cayman Motor Museum Collection is one of a number of single-vendor collections that will be offered as feature attractions at this years Fort Lauderdale sale. Also slated for the block, the previously announced Chrysler Shelby Collection, along with the Mundt Collection, a diverse assortment of 13 vehicles ranging from a 1928 Ford Model A Roadster to a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible showing less than 800 miles.
Additional recent entries illustrating the breadth of this years Fort Lauderdale include:
· an original 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, in single-family ownership since new and boasting less than 15,000 kilometers (Est: $350,000 - $400,000);
· a rare, well-preserved 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera, striking in ice-green (Est: $170,000 - $200,000);
· a stunning 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Sportsman Convertible, presented in Pheasant Red with attractive wood paneling (Est: $175,000 - $200,000); and
· a sporty 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe, generously donated to McPherson College in Kansas - the only school to provide a bachelors degree in Restoration Technology. All proceeds from the cars sale will support the Colleges shop projects (Est. $15,000 - $25,000).
