CHICAGO, IL.- Leslie Hindman Auctioneers launched LH Exchange to serve buyers and sellers of furniture and decorative items outside of the auction model.

LH Exchange (LHX), lhexchange.com , is the new online marketplace launched by Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. The platform was founded to handle luxury, high-end items that sell well outside of the auction market and to serve a growing number of collectors and design enthusiasts interested in shopping online with the ability to make immediate purchases.

Leslie Hindman Auctioneers found that it was often presented with collections and objects not suited for the auction environment.

³Our firm is constantly approached with large collections that have a range of property; some of it will sell well at auction and some of it wonıt,² said Leslie Hindman, owner of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. ³But there is a market for the high-end, reproduction furniture and decorative objects that we want to bring to our clients. LHX is our answer.²

LHX handles the sale of designer furniture, decorative arts, fashion, rugs and porcelain. The company has been working with collectors and dealers who would like to shop and easily list directly through lhexchange.com.

³Dealers and individuals with luxury items all have the ability to submit and list items directly on LHX without having to move the property until it sells. Concurrently, our national team can utilize LHX to offer customized estate services across both our auction services and this new online marketplace,² said Hindman.

As a full service auction firm with a new ³buy-it-now² platform, clients who approach Leslie Hindman Auctioneers with estates and comprehensive collections are in a unique position to work with one dedicated team of specialists who can place the property in its most suitable market‹online or at auction.

At the same time, LHX introduces unique benefits for those with individual items or dealers with groups of items they would like to list on an ongoing basis. These clients can easily submit and list directly through lhexchange.com, making the industry expertise and marketing power behind Leslie Hindman Auctioneers accessible to anyone anywhere. Submitting an item to LHX is complimentary: photos are uploaded, descriptions and conditions are provided and specialists review submitted items before they are listed on the site and shipped once sold.

The June Featured Collection on LHX will go live on June 15 and showcase a private collection from a Four Seasons residence in Miami. Included will be a treasure trove of nearly new designer furniture at a fraction of the price. Everything from a 17th century stone Burmese head to Lalique vases and oriental rugs will be available.
