LONDON.- Renowned watch expert Paul Maudsley has joined Phillips as International Specialist, Director of the London Watches Department. Paul brings with him over 16 years of experience having transformed the UK watches auction market and handled over 20,000 watches in his career so far.

A collector of watches from the age of 13, Paul has developed a love and broad knowledge of horology across all areas of watches and wristwatches. Organising watches auctions in three continents, Paul has been responsible for sourcing some of the finest quality timepieces in the world. With a well known passion for Rolex Sports watches, he has gained a great knowledge of the many different models and variations produced and has achieved numerous record prices for these at auction.

Paul joins Phillips international team of Watch Specialists including Kate Lacey, Specialist based in London, Paul Boutros, International Strategy Advisor in New York and Jill Chen, Business Development Director, based in Phillips’ Hong Kong office which opens in August.

Paul shares his love of fine watches with fine classic cars, and is a regular at international car events. He contributes to Automotive and Watch magazines, and is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
