The London Group members listed will exhibit their work alongside at least 70 non member artists selected from the open call. The selected non-member artists will be announced in early September 2015, with all works being displayed across two exhibitions at The Cello Factory, London from 13 - 23 October and 27 October - 6 November 2015.

The exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity for emerging and established artists to raise their profile, win cash and material prizes, and exhibit their work to the public alongside the Group’s esteemed members. Carefully picked by The London Group Selection Committee, consisting of existing member artists, this truly is an exhibition of art chosen by artists.

The 82nd exhibition will be dedicated to former London Group member, Albert Irvin OBE RA, who sadly passed away this year. Albert was a member of the Group for 50 years. His work will additionally be on display during both parts of the exhibition.

In recognition of today’s increasingly diversified art scene, the exhibition will feature works in a large range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing, print, photography, digital, mixed media, installation, and video.

A selection of generous awards will be presented at a Prize Giving event on 6th November. The prizes include a three-person exhibition at The Cello Factory, and the Ingram Collection of Modern British & Contemporary Art purchase prize. Included within the £5000 prize fund is the Chelsea Arts Club Trust Stan Smith Award for an artist under 35 (£1,500), a sculpture prize awarded by Jeff Lowe (£500), the GX Gallery Annual prize (£300), and the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers Prize for Drawing (£300). Material prizes include the Winsor & Newton Materials Prize for Painting and Drawing (£500), and £300 worth of photographic services from Patrick Gorman.

Two artists’ talks with some of the exhibiting artists will take place on 19th October and 2nd November 2015.
