BOSTON, MASS.- Historic New England announces that Jennifer Kent was recently appointed vice president for advancement.
Working closely with the Historic New England President and CEO, the Board of Trustees, and development committees, Kent will serve as the key leader for development strategy and operations to ensure continued success and long-term sustainability of the organizations collections, programs, and public participation; its steady growth of audience and support; and its role as a leader among heritage organizations nationwide.

Kent will design and manage a comprehensive development program, ensuring implementation of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies across all donor groups and meeting annual and long-term development goals established by the Board of Trustees and President/CEO. She will manage a staff of ten.
Kent brings more than twenty-five years of development experience to Historic New England, including her most recent work as Director of Development at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich, Massachusetts, and previously as Director of Marketing and Development at EcoTarium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Her experience includes overseeing membership, annual and major gift support, grants, planned giving, and cultivation and other fundraising events, plus she has served as a consultant to various non-profit organizations.
