FRANKFURT.- Bernhard Knaus Fine Art announced that they now represent Swiss artist Karim Noureldin. With him the gallery has gained an artist whose treatment of space is poetic, and who presents that most archaic of painting instruments, the pen, in a new modern light.

Unbidden his works evoke mathematical and geometric associations and electrify the viewers with the exciting asymmetrical cross-hatching that Karim Noureldin uses to subtly compose his pictures.

Moreover, Karim Noureldin has also created numerous installations and has been involved in expansive public space art projects, which come about in collaboration with architects, for example, Herzog & deMeuron, Müller Sigrist Architekten, bunq architectes or Make.

Karim Noureldin, born 1967 in Zurich, works and lives in Lausanne, where he lectures as professor at the ECAL / University of Art and Design, Dept. Fine Arts.

His works have been on display in numerous exhibitions in Europe and North America; indeed, Kunsthalle Basel, Kunstmuseum Winterthur, Musee d' art moderne et contemporain Mamco Genf, Swiss Institute New York, Centre d art contemporain CACY Yverdon und most recently Kunstmuseum Zander in Bergisch-Gladbach have hosted solo shows of his works.

His oeuvre is likewise represented in numerous public and private collections, amongst others Kunstmuseum Basel, Aargauer Kunsthaus, Musee Jenish Vevey, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Drawing Center London, Musee d art moderne et contemporain Mamco Genf, not to mention corporate collections such as Julius Bär, UBS AG, Credit Suisse, Ricola AG, Helvetia and Hoffmann-La Roche.
