PARIS.- After the terrorist attacks that hit Paris the night of November 13th which led the French government to declare of a State of Emergency, Paris Photo was obliged to close its doors Saturday and Sunday November 14-15th, thus depriving the event of more than 25,000 expected visited during the course of the final two days of the Fair.

Aside from the shock and sadness that was shared by all, these tragic events had a direct impact on the activity of the galleries and that of the fair.

In response to this unprecedented situation, Reed Exhibitions France and it’s President Michel Filzi consider it’s their duty to assist the exhibitors in facing this challenge.

And in this view, Reed Exhibitions France has therefore made the decision to compensate 20% of the investment costs, expenses relative to the exhibition surface paid by the participating exhibitors to Reed Expositions France following the signature of a transactional agreement that will be sent in the coming days.

This unprecedented measure, applies to the exhibition surface (as indicated in the participation contract with the exclusion of catalogue, Web promotion, application fees, and any other expenses not directly associated with booth space). This exceptional measure is applicable solely for the clients for whom all invoices were paid to Reed before the opening of the Fair.

This gesture is evidence of Reed Exhibition’s deep attachment to its exhibitors. Also following the initiative of galleries in Paris, over 50 galleries were mobilized to participate in a Gallery Week-end November 28_29th. The Paris Photo team worked to provide this event and the exhibitors the merited accompaniment and exposure.

Reed Exhibitions hopes to welcome the galleries in the Spring at Paramount Pictures Studios for the 4th edition of Paris Photo Los Angeles from April 28 through May 1st 2016.
