LOS ANGELES, CA.- The Los Angeles Fine Art Show, a new art fair dedicated to historic & contemporary traditional works will launch in conjunction with the LA Art Show on January 27-31, 2016. Produced by the Palm Beach Show Group, the Los Angeles Fine Art Show will present a curated selection of galleries from North America, Europe and Asia.

The Los Angeles Fine Art Show is entirely unique in the Los Angeles art arena. While emerging and cutting edge contemporary art continue to make headlines, traditional and representational works remain the major segment of art sales. Similarly, the largest group of collectors and the highest sales on the international auction blocks has consistently included historic and representational pieces. In the spring of 2015, Christie’s reported its first ever $1 billion week of sales, composed primarily of postwar and 20th century works, illustrating that not only will historic and traditional pieces will always have a market, that market is growing in value.

With a focus on historic and traditional contemporary works, the Los Angeles Fine Art Show provides a dedicated experience for collectors of traditional works, from paintings, to sculpture and works on paper. The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will feature top galleries presenting historic and traditional contemporary works from across time periods including: works by Degas, Renoir, Picasso, Dali, Rodin, Van Gough, Jan van Beers, Jessie Arms Botke, Wan Sanqiuan, Xie Aige, Jules Dupre, Henrie Lebasque, Franz Bischoff, Allison Skinner, Otis Oldfield, Vladimir Sorin, and others.

Complementing the historic works, The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will present a select group of contemporary artists that have worked in, and continue to explore traditional genres and regional styles. Bridging the historic and contemporary, the Los Angeles Fine Art Show is curated to present the best in representational works including 18th Century European Paintings, Impressionist works, Contemporary Realism, California Plein Air, Hudson River School and more.

The Los Angeles Fine Art Show takes place in conjunction with the LA Art Show, which welcomed more than 60,000 art enthusiasts to the Los Angeles Convention Center at its 20th Anniversary event in 2015. Founded in 1994, the LA Art Show is the region’s longest running platform for fine art, bringing in more than 120 galleries representing 22 countries.

The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will open with a benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Wednesday, January 27th. Public hours begin on Thursday January 28th and continue through Sunday, January 31st. The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall 1201 South Figueroa Street, 90015.
