NEW YORK, NY.- Sothebys today announced that Andrea Fiuczynski, currently Chairman of Sothebys West Coast Division, has been promoted to serve as Chairman of Regional Offices, Americas, effective immediately.
An auction house veteran with a distinguished 30-year career, Fiuczynski joined Sothebys in February 2014, with responsibility for operations from San Diego to Seattle. In her expanded role, Fiuczynski will be responsible for the companys regional business development throughout North, Central and South America, including management of all regional offices and representatives therein.

During Fiuczynskis tenure as Chairman for the West Coast, the number of works consigned from the region increased 71% (2015 v. 2013), a significant expansion of events and programming has dramatically increased Sothebys profile, and she has made key hires in Business Development, Valuations and Trusts & Estates in particular. Her most recent achievement at Sothebys has been the opening of the Companys new office and gallery space in Los Angeles, located in Century City this follows her opening of a new Sothebys office in San Francisco in September 2015, located in the Financial District.

Andrea Fiuczynski began her career in 1985 as a French & Continental Furniture specialist at Christies in New York. After spending time in Berlin as the Director of European Furniture & Valuations, she relocated to Los Angeles in 1997 and was appointed President of Christies Los Angeles in 2001. An experienced and dynamic auctioneer, she regularly conducts sales in New York and Hong Kong. Fiuczynski frequently lends her auctioneering skills to charitable organizations including amfAR, The Clinton Foundation, the Haitian Relief Organization and UNICEF.
