DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions has announced Joan Goldberg has joined the firm in a newly-created role serving Florida collectors and consignors. Bringing more than 30 years of broad-spectrum experience, Goldberg will be headquartered in The Palm Beaches, as Heritage readies plans to expand its auction operations and open a new office in the region by spring, 2017.

“Heritage has maintained an important roster of clients in Florida across dozens of categories” said Greg Rohan, President of Heritage Auctions, “and a dedicated representative is just one way in which we will service existing and new buyers and sellers in the nearly 40 categories in which Heritage holds auctions.”

As President of Diversified Circle, Inc., a management-consulting firm, Goldberg’s clients included government and nonprofit organizations, brand and event marketing firms, and specialty retail groups.

As a consultant to the City of West Palm Beach, Goldberg provided oversight and spearheaded some of the city’s highest profile economic development projects, including the groundbreaking redevelopment of the city’s award-winning waterfront, the key component to the revitalization of the city’s downtown historic district. She has also served as the first Director of Public Art for Palm Beach County.

Previously, Goldberg was the President and Chief Operating Officer and served on the Board of Directors for Art Renaissance Inc., a New York based corporation that operated specialty retail and fine-art galleries throughout the United States.

“This new role at Heritage Auctions is the perfect complement to my life-long love of the arts, serving the public, and my entrepreneurial spirit for launching new ventures,” Goldberg said. “Whether it’s helping a family make optimal decisions for their estate or charities, or integrating Heritage Auctions into The Palm Beaches and wider communities, I could not have designed a better opportunity.”

Deeply committed to improving the quality of life in the region, Goldberg, a long-time resident of Jupiter, Florida, has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation for the Everglades, Ballet Florida, and The Children’s Coalition. She has also served on numerous government and nonprofit committees.

“Heritage Auctions is well-known in Florida and there’s nothing better than a local representative,” Rohan said. “No other American auction house can deliver the resources behind Heritage’s nearly 1 million bidder members. I see a bright future for the Florida auction market.”
