NEW YORK, NY.- The Latin American Art sale totaled $19,145,750 with 69% sold by lot and 81% sold by value. Notably, 100% of works offered by Rufino Tamayo were sold and strong results were achieved for Diego Rivera, Wifredo Lam—with De la même racine more than doubling its initial estimate—and works by Fernando Botero across painting, works-on-paper, and sculpture. Two new world auction records were set for contemporary artists Roberto Fabelo and Nahum B. Zenil.

The range of prices realized shows a broad interest in the category from new buyers to established collectors across traditional through contemporary works.”
