BERLIN.- On August 13, 2016, at 3 pm CET, Auctionata, the leading online destination for art and luxury collectibles, will present a live auction show with top-class guests. The discussion will be led by actor Kai Wiesinger, art experts Dr. Andreas Beitin and Dr. Sabine Maria Schmidt, and photographers Yoram Roth and Katharina Bosse, who will share their perspectives on the representation of the human body in art. During the conversation, a selection of works from the Teutloff Photo + Video Collection will be auctioned by Nicola Ransom. This cutting edge artist talk will be broadcast live via www.auctionata.com and is accessible to everyone.

Unlike static talk-shows, the guests in this show premiere will move through the gallery and converse about the works on display. In this dynamic broadcast format, they will address each photograph, discuss their various positions and entertain the audience with an intellectually stimulating exchange about the galvanizing and provoking topic of the human body in art.

The subject of the conversation and the accompanying auction is a special selection of artworks from the Teutloff Photo + Video Collection, a large private photo and video collection held at the TEUTLOFF Museum in Bielefeld, Germany. The selection includes three works by the Hasselblad Photography Award-winner Nan Goldin, Huan Zhang’s “Foam #12” from 1998, and a work depicting the nude dancer Julie Worden, taken by none other than Annie Leibovitz in 1998. The 30 works at auction capture essential motifs of human existence and were curated by the renowned art historian Dr. Andreas Beitin. All works can be purchased during the live show.

The show will be moderated by the actor and four-time winner of the Bavarian film award Kai Wiesinger, whose witty web series “Der Lack ist ab” garnered much praise amongst viewers and critics alike. During Auctionata’s auction show on August 13, he will share his in-depth knowledge and passion for photography with the audience.

Joining the curator of the exhibition Dr. Andreas Beitin and the expert for contemporary art, Dr. Sabine Maria Schmidt, the photographer Yoram Roth and Katharina Bosse will be present to share their practical knowledge and views. Yoram Roth lives and works in Berlin and is especially known for his detailed and meticulously produced nude photographs with aesthetic Renaissance influences. Katharina Bosse is one of the artists exhibited in the show, who will further enrich the conversation with her first-hand experiences and interpretations. She teaches Photography in Germany and has gained international recognition through exhibitions at MoMA and Centre Pompidou, amongst others.

The auction show, which will take place in the Auctionata studio in Berlin, will be broadcast live via www.auctionata.com and can be accessed from anywhere in the world for free, on a PC, tablet or via the ‘Auctionata Live’ iPhone app. Bids on the displayed works can be placed in advance or live during the show.
