AUSTIN, TX.- Dan Kruse Classics, one of the world’s premier boutique collector car auction houses, has announced the opportunity to bid on Henry Kissinger’s personal Lincoln Continental Limousine at the 42nd Annual Hill Country Classic in Austin, Texas on September 10, 2016.

Diplomat Henry Kissinger was U.S. Secretary of State under then President Richard Nixon, winning the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize for the Vietnam War accords. He was instrumental in the signing of a ceasefire agreement which ended the direct conflict but remained controversial over his “peace and honor” strategy which prolonged the war for four years. Kissinger continued to play a pivotal role in American foreign policy serving under President Ronald Reagan where he was appointed to chair the National Bipartisan Commission on Central America and he also served on President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board under Presidents Reagan and Bush.

Henry Kissinger stands out as the dominant American statesman and foreign policymaker of the late 20th century. He was known for his tough, skillful negotiating power which earned him as many critics as it did admirers.

The 1966 Henry Kissinger Lincoln Continental Limousine transported Kissinger, numerous diplomats and world leaders to important events and appearances throughout Kissinger’s lengthy career in public service. The vehicle was purchased directly from the U.S. government and is equipped with bulletproof reinforced glass and was Kissinger’s personal limousine. Features of the limousine include a 462 cid engine, automatic transmission completely rebuilt engine, transmission and drivetrain and a Lehman-Peterson conversion. The limousine has blue exterior and black interior.
