TURIN.- Artissima announced the recipients of the 2016 illy Present Future Prize, Sardi per lArte Back to the Future Prize, Reda and Fondazione Ettore Fico Prize.
The illy Present Future Prize, supported by illycaffè since 2001, is awarded to an artist whose work is considered the most interesting, by an international jury. Since 2012, thanks to the collaboration with Castello di Rivoli Museo dArte Contemporanea, the prize has offered its winner the exceptional opportunity of presenting a solo exhibition at the museum.
The winner for 2016 is Cécile B. Evans, presented by Galerie Barbara Seiler, Zurich.
The Sardi per lArte Back to the Future Prize, run in partnership with Fondazione Sardi per lArte and worth 5,000 , goes to the gallery with the most deserving project in terms of historical relevance and booth presentation.
The winner for 2016 is Lars Fredrikson, presented by Galerie in situ Fabienne Leclerc, Paris.
The Reda Prize is an international award open to artists under 35 working with photography. It was inaugurated in 2015 with to foster the research of new generations of talents and give space and visibility to this form of artistic expression. The winner is given the opportunity to realise a publication with a major international publisher.
The winner for 2016 is Joanna Piotrowska, presented by Madragoa gallery in the New Entries section.
The 5,000 Fondazione Ettore Fico Prize is awarded to one artist chosen from all of those participating in Artissima. Established in 2009 by Fondazione Ettore Fico, it promotes the work of emerging artists.
The winner for 2016 is presented by Gian Maria Tosatti, presented by Lia Rumma gallery in the Main section.
